A few weeks back I had the opportunity to attend the premiere of Ohio: Wild at Heart, a new IMAX film produced by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and first screened at the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Robert D. Lindner Family Omnimax Theater. It’s a gorgeous portrait of state parks from Lake Erie to the Ohio River, from a bird sanctuary near Toledo to the Richard & Lucile Durrell Edge of Appalachia Preserve in the Hocking Hills, where it’s operated jointly by CMC and the Nature Conservancy.
Of special interest are two stories of recovery — bald eagles and trumpeter swans — two bird species that were all but extinct by the late 20th century. They are both now flourishing across the Buckeye State.
I wrote about this new film (soon to be available across Ohio at other IMAX venues in Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Toledo as well as selected AMC Cinemas) for the Cincinnati Business Courier.
